Process 6.5: Problem resolution

Task goals Timely identification of problems which can have impact on project goals.
Procedure
  1. Project participant: Identifies problem and notifies project manager.
  2. Project manager: Assigns project participant to analyze problem.
  3. Project participant: Analyzes problem and proposes solution(s).
  4. Project manager: If necessary, organizes joint review to discuss problem and find solution.
  5. Project manager: If necessary, escalate problem resolution activities to other project participants: sponsors, customers, etc.
  6. Project manager: Prioritize project and makes necessary changes to the Software development plan and schedule.
  7. Project manager: Closes problem.
